Steam Blowout Procedure during a power plant construction project

Steam blowout are performed to clean the internal surfaces of steam supply pipes to the steam turbine. With this process, all rust, weld spots and other unwanted particels (which will damage the turbine blades) are removed. This video was taken back in 2012 during the construction of ALES Natural Gas Fired Combined Cycle power plant in Aydın Turkey.
